About
We know that battling breast cancer can be an overwhelming experience. Wishful Thinking is here to help alleviate some of that stress by supporting breast cancer survivors with helpful resources and celebratory experiences. Our organization was created to provide survivors with a community of like-minded individuals who understand the struggles that come with a breast cancer diagnosis. Through our supportive network, we facilitate meaningful connections and celebrate women who have fought or are currently fighting breast cancer.
Our Purpose
We believe in celebrating women to make a positive impact on the lives of breast cancer survivors.
Our Mission

Our History
2015
Wishful Thinking was founded by two breast cancer survivors and students from Eastside High School to provide holiday gifts for other survivors to bring them joy and comfort.
2016-2018
Early Growth: The initiative gained traction. In an effort to serve more breast cancer survivors and their families, local hospitals were contacted. Students and volunteers began collecting donations and organizing holiday gift drives to provide a thoughtful presence to breast cancer survivors. This grassroots effort started to make a positive impact on the lives of survivors in the area.
2019-2020
Nonprofit Status: Wishful Thinking pursued its 501(c)(3) nonprofit status to formalize an organized structure and to raise funds to effectively expand its support virtually and serve a broader community of breast cancer survivors as well as families who have lost moms/spouses to breast cancer.
2021-Present
Expanding Reach: Wishful Thinking continues to expand its reach, to more survivors, collaborating with various nonprofits, and hospitals, and developing youth advocacy in breast health.
Throughout its history, the founders and volunteers, of Wishful Thinking remain committed to their original mission of providing support and resources to breast cancer survivors in the treatment phase. Over the years, Wishful Thinking has evolved and diversified its activities to better meet the needs of breast cancer survivors, their families, and the communities who love them offering educational resources and emotional support.
